EPX-MVB FS is a two-component, 100% solids epoxy that serves two roles in one product: a moisture-mitigation base coat, and a base coat for broadcast decorative-flake and colored-quartz systems. Applied as a continuous 20-mil film directly to prepared concrete, it forms a dense, low-permeance membrane that controls the moisture-vapor emission reaching the finish system, and it accepts flake or quartz broadcast into the wet coat. At 20 mils it measures an ASTM E96 water-vapor permeance of 0.04 grains per hour per square foot, well within the 0.1-perm class for resin moisture-mitigation membranes. The FS designation is fast set: it cures quickly enough for same-day flake broadcast and faster recoat.
